Druggist Professional Liability
What this clause says
Pharmacy shall maintain Druggist Professional Liability insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 aggregate, covering dispensing errors, compounding errors, and other professional services performed by Pharmacy and its licensed personnel.
What this means in plain English
First-party professional liability for pharmacists and pharmacy operations. Covers dispensing errors, compounding errors, counseling failures, and similar professional-services claims.
What it means for a CDMO program
A standalone druggist PL policy is often required by PBM networks and by state board-of-pharmacy enforcement defense. General liability does not cover dispensing-error claims. Specialty and compounding pharmacies often carry $2M-$5M given higher claim severity.
